iTileMaps

iTileMaps is a powerful tile map creation tool. Works with any 2D game genre, whether it's RPG or sidescroller. Specifically designed for iOS, it lets you create maps very fast wherever you are. No need to change anything in your game because it uses the popular TMX file format and works well with Tiled.

Limitations (for advanced users)

Hexagonal maps are not supported
Only one tileset can be used per layer
Tileset info is saved in the same file as the map (no external tilesets)
Alpha channel transparency only (no color‑key transparency)
Tile objects are not supported
Images cannot be embedded into the map file (external only)
Layer data must be Base64‑encoded with gzip/zlib compression
